Cause:
Driver failing to connect to database in specific time.
The intermittent login timeout issue can be caused or due to the following reasons:
1. Due to intermittent network disconnection between client machine and database.
2. When the system is busy or during heavy workload on the database.
Solution:
Increase the login timeout value in the ODBC DSN from 20 seconds to 60/120 seconds.
Open your 32/64 bit ODBC Administrator. Select the corresponding DSN/DataSource to which you are connecting and click “Configure”
Click “Options”
Click “Advanced”
Change “Login Timeout” value to 60 or 120
